This starter-kit consists of simple ways you can take your first steps towards creating as well as maintaining your blog.

1. Choose a blog type and name

In a world where you can choose to write about anything, it’s best that you choose a genre that you are passionate about, relate to the most and would like to explore more in the future. Once you have locked in on a genre and blog type, you can then think of a name that you like best. Make sure to keep it catchy for recall value.

After picking out the perfect blog name, you can then move onto selecting a domain that’ll help you create a blog website of sorts. On the internet, there are plenty of options from which you can select web builders that’ll help you set up your blog page quickly.  You can also customize the blog’s appearance and sections with the help of these web-building sites too.

3. Templatise

Ensuring an appealing template not only gives the readers an understanding of your personality but also helps to bring in a sense of tonality and synergy to your website. The colours, text font and type of language you choose to write in can help you target a certain kind of audience too.

Once your blog website has been created you can immediately start writing your article. Perhaps starting with an introduction one that would set the foundation and break the ice for the new readers. In your future articles, you can share your experiences, a few facts, stunning photographs (for which you can give a source credit, especially if they aren’t your own). Each blog can also have a catchy title but make sure it isn’t on the clickbait lines.

Once you are done writing your blog make sure to proofread it. Check for spelling errors, grammatical errors, and factual errors. If everything reads well, go ahead and publish it right away! After it’s live on the website, you can promote it on your personal and/or blog handles on all social media platforms. This will ensure that your article and website get’s reach and visibility.

Some other tips that you can follow are:

– Be consistent and make sure you write as often as possible.
– Touch upon trending topics so that you can stay in tune with the current happenings in the digital world.
– Share personal experiences, this will help your readers connect with you better.
– Use social media to not only help your blog reach a wider audience but also to receive feedback
– Add your own personality and tonality to your writing.
