Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar have been a hit pair on-screen. And after Toilet Ek Prem Katha, we will see the two once again in Aanand L Rai directed Raksha Bandhan. The film is a family drama, revolving around love, bonding, and attachment between a brother and his sisters. The film is already on floors since June and now it is entering into the second leg of shooting.
Yes, Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, and Anand L Rai will start shooting for Raksha Bandhan in Delhi from the 10th of September. The film’s other cast includes actresses Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth, who will be seen playing Akshay’s sisters.

Raksha Bandhan will be Akshay and Aanand’s second collaboration. The two have also worked on another romantic drama titled Atrangi Re also starring Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. As for Bhumi, she has worked with Aanand in Shubh Mangal Savdhan before. Raksha Bandhan is jointly written by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, and Kanika Dhillon. The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
I must say, I had absolutely loved Akshay and Bhumi’s chemistry in Toilet Ek Prem Katha, so I am really looking forward to seeing them together once again in Raksha Bandhan. What about you?
