Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has always made unique film choices. While he has chosen some off-beat characters on screen, he has also tapped on some hush-hush topics in our society. His Shubh Mangal Saavdhan revolved around erectile dysfunction, while Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan spoke about homosexuality. Even his debut film Vicky Donor had quite an unconventional subject. Turns out, that this is what the actor likes to do. Yes, he wishes to spark conversations on such taboo topics even with his upcoming projects.

Talking about the same to Bollywood Life, the Doctor G actor said…

After Vicky Donor, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan reinstated my belief that the people of India want to discuss taboo topics out in the open and in their own way address them for the good of society. The success of the film told me to stay on course and try and bring more such themes out of the closet and into mainstream cinema. I felt that having a discussion on these things was necessary.

He further added that this is what he also wishes to do with his films Anek, Doctor G with Rakul Preet Singh, and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui with Vaani Kapoor. Well, I have absolutely loved how Ayushmann has made all his roles fun even though they dealt with sensitive issues. And I am totally looking forward to his future projects, are you?
