India To Be a Part Of Global Citizen Live’s Worldwide Broadcast On 25th September

Global Citizen is the world's largest movement of action takers and impact makers. The global campaign, which is supported by more than 35 governments and world leaders released an official statement announcing the news of India's participation in the live event on 25th September. The live event will span over 6 continents, wherein the world leaders, philanthropists and corporations will come together to defend the planet and defeat poverty, to take action on climate change, famine, and vaccine equity.

Global Citizen and Wizcraft first joined hands in 2016 for the Global Citizen Festival in India. This time, the event will be held at the Gateway Of India, Mumbai and will be hosted by Anil Kapoor. The event will be graced by the presence of Sadhguru and some prominent actors of the Bollywood film Industry- Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Bhumi Pednekar, Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Janhvi Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Riteish Deshmukh, Sara Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha. Venkateshwara Hatcheries’ Venkys, is the leading partner for the Global Citizen Live Campaign in India.

Aaditya Thackeray, the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Maharashtra said -

When it comes to climate change, we are running out of time to reverse the damage caused. I am confident that The Global Citizen Festival will steer a mass movement on the world stage to fight climate change now.

The details of the performance haven't been revealed yet, but I'm sure it's something to look forward to! This event will definitely help gain resources to tackle the persisting issues and work towards the betterment. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us.
