The news about Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi collaborating for an upcoming film has been doing rounds on the internet. The film is helmed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta and will be his directorial debut. It will be for the first time that Vidya and Pratik will be seen sharing the screen space. Both actors are busy with several other projects and have been juggling between different shooting schedules.
As per a report in Mid-Day, Shirsha’s debut project will be titled ‘Lovers‘. There are also reports that this movie is all set to go on floors soon. ‘Lovers’ will be shot extensively in Mumbai and Coonoor, a beautiful hill station in Tamil Nadu. After the huge success of the web series ‘Scam 1992’, Pratik rose to fame and has bagged quite a few projects. On the other hand, Vidya who is known for her versatility has been winning hearts through her brilliant performances.
On the work front, Pratik will next be seen in films like ‘Bhavai‘ and ‘Dedh Bheega Zameen‘. And Vidya is currently working on her upcoming film ‘Jalsa‘ which is helmed by Suresh Triveni. I am super excited to see the two collaborate for the first time. I am sure with a star cast as good as this, we all are in for a visual treat.
