There is no doubt that Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. Over the years, we’ve seen the actor evolve in so many aspects of his acting career, and has given us some brilliant on-screen performances. Whether it is playing a musician in Rockstar or essaying a real-life character in Sanju, Ranbir has always managed to deliver on-screen brilliance.
As per a report in Entertainment Times, there are certain films that Ranbir has rejected in his career. Here’s a list of movies that the actor said no to which went on to become blockbuster hits:
Delhi Belly – As per the reports, this film was offered to Ranbir, however, he did not take it up, and eventually, it went to Imran Khan. The film received great reviews from the audience and critics.
Band Baaja Baarat – This movie marked the Bollywood debut of Ranveer Singh. Not many know that Ranbir was first approached to play the lead role. However, the actor rejected the film and the reasons are still unknown, Ranveer got the opportunity and became their fresh face in the movie.
2 States – The lead role in 2 states was offered to several actors including Ranbir. But eventually, Arjun Kapoor bagged the role and the film went on to be a huge success at the box office.
Dil Dhadakne Do – Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar wanted to get Ranbir to play the lead role but the actor did not accept the offer. The film later impressed the audience and got positive reviews.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara – One of the most loved films in Bollywood, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara had first come to Ranbir. Zoya wanted the actor to play the role of Arjun, but the actor did not come on board and it was later offered to Hrithik Roshan.
These are some of the films that Ranbir could not be a part of and were later offered to other actors in the industry. On the work front, Ranbir will next be seen in Shamshera alongside Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. I am super excited about this one and surely can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
