The society we live in can be very thorny at times. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce came like a shocker, and many fans and well-wishers came forward to support them. Sadly, despite all the support pouring in, some people just don’t stop giving unsolicited advice and spreading rumours. Post the announcement of the divorce, a few fans tried to speculate the reason for the separation and ended up spewing false narratives.
Samantha took to social media to address fans who have stuck by her side during unprecedented times and also dismissed the rumours about affairs, family planning and alleged abortions. Last week, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya confirmed the separation by issuing statements on their respective Instagram profiles.
Thanking her fans and dismissing the rumours, Samantha wrote-
Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread. They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist and now that I have had abortions.
A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me has been relentless. But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything else they say, break me.
