A few days back, Kriti Sanon was spotted at the airport, taking off to London for the shoot of Ganapath which is headlined by Tiger Shroff who plays a boxer. And while reports of the makers getting papa Jackie Shroff on board too have been doing the rounds too, here’s another report that is creating a buzz. As per a Pinkvilla report, the team of the Vikas Bahl directorial has approached veteran Amitabh Bachchan for the role of Tiger’s father.
As per the report, a source said:
Tiger plays a boxer in the film, while his onscreen father too was a boxer in his earlier days. The character is an important part of the script, and the makers are keen to rope in Mr Bachchan for the role. However, they are yet to figure out the dates and the rest of the formalities. Meanwhile, a major portion of the film will be shot in the UK, and Tiger and Kriti both have reached London. The shoot is expected to go on for around two months.
I am really hoping that this collaboration works out so we get to see Big B on the big screen once again. Also, I have always loved him in fatherly roles. Be it portraying Deepika Padukone‘s obsessed father in Piku or playing a free-willed 72 year-old dad to a 65 year-old Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh ji has always been excellent at his work.
Speaking about Ganapath, the film will be directed by Vikas Bahl and will be an action thriller and is set to be released on December 23, 2022. Must say, watching Tiger and Kriti reunite after Heropanti is going to be a real treat and I cannot wait for more updates from the makers!
