I want to begin by mentioning how grateful we feel to be experiencing some form of normalcy at the moment. And that means a ton of celebrity pictures and coverage, thus leading to my next point which is the amount of inspiration we get from their stylish appearances. And you know they’ve always got their fingers on the pulse of what’s in and what’s out, so it’s definitely a great way to stay on the trending bandwagon. I’ve been keenly observing the last few weeks and noticed a spike in party looks, so it definitely looks like everyone’s revved up for the next 2 months of serious partying and get-togethers.

So if you’re like me and like to plan for everything in life in advance then you’re already scouring the shopping websites and malls for looks that you can wear to your list of upcoming events and weddings. And just to make things a smidge easier for you I’m putting together a list of celebrity looks that are a major source of inspo. Scroll on for more.

Here’s a look at some recent celebrity appearances that have caught our eye:

1) The Sequin Number

Janhvi Kapoor looks sultry in this rose-gold, fitted dress with a plunging neckline and bishop sleeves, amirite? The subtle use of sequins makes this dress such a must-have.

2) The Preppy OOTD

Jacqueline Fernandez is a total rule-breaker when it comes to her style. And we are totally living for this all-gold, preppy outfit. A flared-mini skirt with a shirt, layered with a matching sweater might seem slightly conservative for a party but it’s sure to help you stand out from the crowd.

3) The Animal Print Mini

Animal prints have been all the rage for a long time now. Sara Ali Khan wears a simple, spaghetti-style dress but totally amps up the volume with the Zebra print and the sequins. Gotta say I’m totally loving the comeback of the cowl neckline too.

4) The Red Dress

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is probably Bollywood’s biggest fashionista and anything she touches turns to gold or rather she makes it look exquisite. I love a red hot number but Sonam’s puffy-sleeved dress with an exaggerated collar is exactly what the doctor ordered for a less formal occasion because this dress is so easy to dress up and dress down, no?

5) The Little Black Dress

If I’m being completely honest, I’m totally over the LBD, but it’s almost always the type of dress I would reach for in my closet. Kriti Sanon picks a black tube dress with faux leather patch detailing that really ups the ante of the dress. What I love even more is the fact that it’s paired with an oversized black blazer, you know, just in case it gets chilly.

6) The Sequin Pantsuit

Pull out all the stops like Sonakshi Sinha in a vibrant, sequin pantsuit. Style it with layered necklaces and a chainmail bustier. It doesn’t hurt that this outfit could totally make you look like a mermaid either.

7) The One-Shoulder Dress

If it’s a formal cocktail dinner or gathering then you can opt for this one-shoulder dress that Radhika Madan stuns us in. The bright, solid colour and the ruching details really breathe life into this simple yet striking look. Accessorise with diamonds if you can, for that extra pizzaz!

8) The Co-Ord Set

Tamannaah Bhatia does a dressy take on the co-ord set. Love her velvet, mermaid-shape skirt and glimmering, silver bustier. If you want to be a total knockout and accentuate all the right curves then this is the style for you.

9) The Classic Pantsuit

Malaika Arora has quite the penchant for finding elegant clothes with the right amount of sex appeal. Take this pantsuit, for instance, no shirt on the inside just a statement neckpiece to do all the talking. Wear a brighter shade for triple the impact.
