The latest quirky love story that director Vivek Soni is getting to us is Meenakshi Sundareshwar starring the stunning Sanya Malhotra and the handsome hunk Abhimanyu Dassani. The two very talented actors are bringing to us the story of Meenakshi and Sundareshwar who are thrown into a long-distance marriage due to circumstances and how they cope with it. Speaking on the same to Mid-Day, Sanya said that not every long-distance relationship fails.

The actress said:

For some people, long-distance relationships work out. Things are tough, but there is a certain charm to people meeting after a long time. A couple wants to make the most of it when they meet.

Besides the story, many have been curious to watch Sanya in a Tamilian girl’s character. When she was asked about it, Sanya said that she loves playing different characters. In fact, her first role was that of a Haryanvi in Dangal.

Sanya added:

I played a Gujarati in Photograph [2019], Punjabi in Badhaai Ho [2018] and Rajasthani in Pataakha [2018]. I’m glad to play characters from varied cultures. I am an actor, and my job is to work on my character. I will do my homework. I wasn’t a wrestler, but we learnt it before we stepped in front of the camera for Dangal. I can’t control what the audience thinks, but I will give my 100 per cent. Why would I say no when a part is calling out to me so strongly?

Speaking about prepping for Meenakshi’s character, she said:

Meenakshi is a Rajinikanth fan, so I watched a few of his films. I had to pick up one of his Tamil dialogues. My diction coach and some Tamilian crew members helped me out.

Meenakshi Sundareshwar is produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, and is set to be released on November 5, 2021. I have personally always loved all of Sanya’s films as they mostly turn out to be quirky. I am definitely going to catch this one as it’s just a day away from release.
