I have always admired Lillete Dubey for her acting skills, be it Kal Ho Na Ho, Baghban, or even the Monsoon Wedding, her craft has been impressive. But the actress has been a renowned name in the theatre circuit as well, and now she is gearing up to direct 5 plays that will revolve around the pandemic. It is called Lockdown Liaisons and I am quite interested to know what these 5 stories are.

We all have had our experiences with the pandemic and while there might be many stories, bringing those to the stage is something really interesting. Lockdown Liaisons is written by Shobhaa De and produced & directed by Lillete Dubey. It will premiere at the G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture, Mumbai, between the 19th and 21st of November.

Check out the details here:

Out of the five shows, four will be in English and one in Hindi. The shows will star Ira Dubey, Lillete Dubey, and Joy Sengupta. Lockdown Liaisons revolves around the emotions that got confined within the four walls of the house during the pandemic, it is a sincere effort to explore the fragility of human relationships. With perspectives of both men and women, the play focuses on how relationships can crumble or strengthen in testing times.

Sounds interesting right? Well, the play is surely something I would want to witness, for, I am sure it would have a lot of pandemic moments that I might relate to.
