Vicky Kaushal seems to have decided to treat his fans to some fun characters in the coming year. The Sardar Udham star is reportedly soon going to feature opposite Tripti Dimri in a rom-com produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The upcoming romantic comedy is said to be directed by Love Per Square Foot and Bandish Bandits director Anand Tiwari, which intrigues me because his previous projects were simply great. As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, Karan Johar has already signed Vicky for the upcoming project.
The source further reported to the publication that the series will portray Vicky as a lover boy and Tripti will be playing the leading lady. The film has already been in development for the last few months and is co-produced under the banner of Still & Still Media Collective. The report further states that actors will be starting the shoot in February 2022 as director Anand Tiwari is apparently busy with another production. Vicky Kaushal as well is busy right now shooting with Sara Ali Khan for Laxman Utekar’s next film.
Apart from this untitled rom-com, Dharma Productions and Vicky Kaushal are also going to be working together for Govinda Naam Mera. Vicky is the lead in this upcoming comedy along with Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. Vicky will also be starring with Manushi Chillar in an untitled movie by Yash Raj Films. On the other hand, Tripti will be working with Babil I Khan in Netflix’s Qala, Animal along with Ranbir Kapoor, and an untitled film opposite Ishaan Khatter produced by Dharma Productions.
