Struggle is something that everyone needs to go through initially to reach somewhere meaningful in life. And just like everyone, even Sooryavanshi director Rohit Shetty had his fair share of struggles when he decided to make it in the Hindi film industry. But today the filmmaker is known as the hit factory with back-to-back successes to his name, and as a viewer too, even I always prefer his action films to go to theatres for. His ground breaking action sequences and daredevil stunts just give me an adrenaline rush that I love. And by the Instagram posts of his actors, he also seems to be the most fun director to work with.

Recently on a chat show Sunday Brunch, the filmmaker opened up about his initial days in the industry and the struggles he had to face. The director stated that he started out as a chief assistant director in Bollywood where his salary was Rs 35 and that was all during the ’90s . He also mentioned that the financial condition of his family wasn’t good enough, so he had to choose between travel and food at times. Rohit’s father was also an action director.

On the work front, Rohit’s recent release Sooryavanshi turned out to be a huge hit and is working its way to reach the Rs 200 crore milestone. The director is next shooting the last leg of Cirkus with Ranveer Singh. Having reached this place from where he actually started, I am inspired by Rohit and his journey that gives me the motivation to just keep going through the tough times.
