Recently, Ajay Devgn completed three decades of his career in Bollywood and in these 30 years, the superstar has not only mastered his acting skills, but has also gone behind the camera as a director and producer and achieved excellence even there. His films always have a rawness that I really enjoy, so when it was announced that the actor will be returning to the director’s chair after five years, I was intrigued. The project was earlier named MayDay but now it has undergone a title change.
The film, also featuring him alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh, is now titled Runway 34, and along with the new title, the actor also released the character posters of the lead cast.

While Ajay looks captivating as a pilot, Rakul exudes the persona that is required from her role as his co-pilot. The Big B is as impressive as usual and his eyes pierce you through with their intensity. Ajay described the film as a high-octane thriller inspired by true events, and shared that it is special to him for multiple reasons. Runway 34 also features Aakanksha Singh, Boman Irani and Angira Dhar and is slated for an Eid release next year on April 29, 2022.
Ajay couldn’t have given a better gift to his fans on completing his 30 years in the industry than him returning to direction, and as an avid follower of his work, I am really excited to see this marvel on the big screen. If these posters are something to go by, Runway 34 is going to be a wild ride into the sky.
