Deepika Padukone is greatly talented and one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. As a child she played national level badminton, following in her father’s footsteps. However, she gave that up to be a fashion model. She made her acting debut in a Kannada film Aishwarya in 2006. She garnered a lot of attention and received high praise for her first Bollywood film Om Shanti Om in 2007. Since then the actress has been been a favourite and touched a lot of hearts.

Deepika’s stylist, Shaleena Nathani picked an elegant, ivory saree designed by Faraz Manan for the actress. This gorgeous creation with detailed embellishments looked absolutely ethereal on her. She paired it with an equally heavily embellished blouse that just added to the whole royal look. The saree’s long pallu also features a scalloped hem which gives the look a definite sense of elegance. I mean Deepika in traditional can never go wrong, no?
For her accessories in this desi look, she went with a gorgeous, statement emerald necklace and matching earrings. Her makeup, done by Anil C was quite bold with a dark, smokey eye that brought out her eye colour, natural nude lips and perfectly highlighted cheekbones. This sculpted look complemented her outfit extremely well. Not to take away from the outfit or the makeup, the actress opted for a low sleek bun done by hairstylist Yianni Tsapatori.
