B-town’s one of the most talented actors, Ranveer Singh, is back again with a promising film, ’83. After taking the audience by storm through his super hit films like Sooryavanshi and Gully Boy, the actor is once again ready with another masterpiece that connects with the heart of the nation—the victory of the 1983 cricket world cup. The trailer of ’83 was released recently which garnered appreciation from all over and even I felt a sense of pride of being an Indian after watching it.

Before we go any further have a look at the trailer-

Expressing the gratitude for all the praise the trailer and he had received, Ranveer took to his Instagram and shared a heartfelt message for the audience.

Here’s the post shared by Ranveer:

The message read:

Thank you to movie fans all over the country and beyond, our film fraternity, the press…people from all walks of life and generations have appreciated the movie’s trailer, and we are filled with gratitude and gladness.

The post continued:

This is not just a movie – it’s a glorious tribute to that moment in Indian history that changed it all! It’s about the great achievement of the Indian Cricket Team of 1983 – ‘Kapil’s Devils’! These men are legends, and it’s an honour to be a part of the cinematic telling of their iconic story on the big screen!

Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous and loving messages!

Kaptaan Kabir Khan, it’s everything you dreamed of! Take a bow!

’83 is directed by Kabir Khan, who is known for directing blockbusters like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film sees Deepika Padukone opposite Ranveer as Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi. The film is slated to release on December 24, 2021.

Being a cricket lover, I am pretty hyped for the release of ’83 and I am looking forward to book my seat in the theatres as soon as it is available. I suggest you do the same.
