John Abraham and Akshay Kumar are the two actors in B-town who have always experimented with the action genre and given us many great hits. Recently I was impressed by John’s triple role in Satyameva Jayate 2 and his gangster role in Mumbai Saga and I must say, so far, John has efficiently portrayed every gangster role that he has played very distinctly and efficiently. A few years ago, John had spoken about working on a film titled Gorkha, but back in October this year, Akshay had also announced a film by the same name. There was a wondering about similarities between the two films or whether both the actors are appearing together in the same film, however, in an interview with Mid-Day, John cleared the air on it.

The actor said:

Our story is completely different. We will call it something else now; it was tentatively titled Gorkha. One needs to register the title. This has happened to me in the past when I have lost the title despite being on the waiting list. In this case, Aanand L Rai justifiably has the title and is going forward with his film. We had no right to it. I am happy that the movie is being made with my favorite person, Akshay Kumar.

I really appreciate the equation and respect between both the actors. Talking about Gorkha, Akshay’s film is reportedly based on the real-life story of Major General Ian Cardozo, a reputed officer of the Gorkha regiment of the Indian Army whereas, not much has been disclosed so far about John’s film. But one thing I am sure of, is that both the actors’ films are going to be super entertaining and interesting in terms of plot, and I’ll be waiting eagerly to watch both of them.
