Things You Need To Do To Stay Sane Through The Week

Mitisha Mavani

We’re in the last month of 2021 and sometimes it can get tough to find the motivation to get out of bed, dress up and get to work. With the year coming to an end, our motivation has also seemed to hit a dead end. For every morning when it kills you get out of the warmth of your blanket and face the day head-on, we have a few tips for you that might help you set the tone and get into the groove for the last month of the year!

1) Plan Your Day In Advance

To wake up and be unsure of what you want to do can be a bummer. To keep yourself on track and not feel lost, make sure you plan your day the night before. Create a healthy mix of work and play to keep yourself active throughout the day. Don’t forget to squeeze in small breaks to push yourself and indulge in some self-care during your off time.

2) Reward Yourself

For every time you feel low—take a break from what you are doing and try to engage yourself with something that you thoroughly enjoy doing. Plan fun activities through the week, treat yourself to a massage, plan a dinner date with your family, step out for a night with your friends or call for takeout and watch your favourite movie. Keep reminding yourself that at the end of a long working day, you have a reward to get back to. Working towards achieving specific goals always keeps you motivated and makes you more efficient.

3) Take It One Day At A Time

Lack of motivation also spurts from overwhelming tendencies. On days when you have too many things on your mind, take it slow. Manage your tasks in a way that works for you, value your pace and cheer for yourself every time you make progress. Planning your tasks that align with the time on your schedule helps create a structure for you to work around, helping you stay calm and complete tasks as and when they come. And don’t forget—for every task you couldn’t complete, there is always a tomorrow!

4) Don’t Overwork Yourself

Exhaustion is caused by overworking which results in low energy levels and leaves you feeling restless and dispirited. Set work and play boundaries and try sticking to them as much as possible. Set a strict working schedule and make sure you finish your work within those hours and what’s pending can be dealt with tomorrow. Overworking causes haste and you can’t do a good job when in a hurry.

Hoping these help you get through 2021! What is keeping you motivated these days? Let us know in the comments below!
