Ever since the success of Queen, Kangana Ranaut has been headlining films about strong women with inspiring stories, and has made an indelible mark for herself in the Hindi film industry. I have really admired the grit and determination with which Kangana backs any project that she is a part of, and her name alone just makes the film worth watching. Choosing diverse roles has become her forte and in her interesting upcoming line up, one of the films, Ronnie Screwvala’s Tejas, sees her as an Air Force Pilot and now we have a new announcement on the same.

Today marks the Armed Forces Flag Day and to commemorate the occasion, the makers of Tejas announced the film’s release date to be on Dussehra next year. The film is an ode to the Indian Air Force and will be arriving in theatres on 5 October, 2022. Through the film, the team of Tejas aims to honour the brave hearts in the armed forces by delivering an inspiring story of a female Air Force pilot.
Starring Kangana in the titular role of Air Force Pilot Tejas Gill, the film is produced by RSVP and written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara. It also marks RSVP’s second film about the armed forces after the 2019 blockbuster, URI: The Surgical Strike.
With her work on screen, Kangana has always inspired women out there by giving life to some extraordinary stories that might seem ordinary from the outside. In her last release Thalaivii, the actress proved why she is considered one of the most talented actresses in Hindi cinema and going by her repertoire and skills, I am sure Tejas would add another feather in her cap and turn out to be a story worth remembering.
