Productivity is deep-rooted and it doesn’t happen overnight. Productivity comes with practice. Sometimes your to-do lists keep getting longer but the motivation levels keep dipping. That’s when your productivity hits rock bottom. Productivity depends on how much you can get done with the required time in hand and completing it efficiently. From mobile apps to several other methods—there are multiple ways that you can try to get optimum results. Your day mainly depends on how productive your morning is. A great morning is a perfect way to usher in a new day. Mornings make you feel a myriad of emotions from anticipation, lethargy, hyperactivity but bring in a zeal of freshness to get you going. There are a few things that you can do to keep you motivated through the day and give you the much-needed kickstart!

1) Start Waking Up Early

Waking up early

Like most people tell you, waking up early is the best thing that can happen to you- it is actually true. When you wake up early, you have enough time to squeeze in a tiny workout, plan your day, get a proper healthy breakfast and be on time. Running late builds up frustration and gets you in an irritable mood. Waking up early is the first step to feeling productive and getting things done.

2) Don’t use your phone first thing in the morning

Phone Usage

It is almost impossible to not see your phone first thing in the morning but it cuts a lot of negativity and saves a lot of time. When you take your phone, you endlessly keep scrolling through the colourful tiles on Instagram and wallow in self-hate. You don’t need comparisons in the morning, you need motivation and being on your phone won’t help your case.

3) Squeeze In A Short Workout

Working out in the morning sets the tone for the entire day. You feel healthy, active and absolutely ready to roll. Try to squeeze in a short workout, a dance routine, a run, a walk whatever you like to keep motivated, agile and active through the course of the day. Indulging in some physical activity at the start of the day puts you in a better mood, refreshes your mind and makes you feel energetic.

4) Don’t Forget To Journal

Journaling is a habit you must imbibe. It may take time for you to get used to it, but it’s super effective. Journaling consists of jotting down things you are grateful for and listing your goals. This keeps you in line with your vision, makes you feel grounded and you don’t lose sight of what’s important. Journaling helps you stay in touch with things that matter and that would affect you in the long run, so inculcating this habit will only bring you the best.
