I have always been very fascinated with ensemble cast films and if the team comprises of some super talented names then it surely gets a double treat. One such project I am looking forward to is Applause Entertainment production starring Vidya Balan along with Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy. The film is an untitled romantic comedy-drama produced by Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment. Some time back there were reports that the film is tentatively titled Lovers, but no official confirmations on the same have been made.
Recently, the team wrapped shooting with Vidya and Pratik in Ooty. Ileana and Sendhil’s shooting had been completed in Mumbai last month. And going by reports it is said that throughout the shoot the cast had a great time, they all got along quite well. Now that I know this, I am waiting to witness some amazing chemistry coming my way with this film.
The yet-to-be-titled film directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta is said to be a progressive, uninhibited take on modern relationships. The romantic drama also marks Applause’s foray into the film world. Well, guess we all have to wait for more details to roll out, till then let’s hope this project releases soon.
On the work front, Vidya impressed us with Sherni on the OTT space, and she also has Jalsa coming up next. As for Pratik, after Bhavai and this film, there is Atithi Bhooto Bhava, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? and Dedh Bigha Zameen coming up.
