It is a filling snack rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fibre. Here are 5 of our all-time favourite dips that don’t leave us feeling guilty later!

Guacamole is the healthiest, and the most nutritious dip there is—the green dip loaded with freshly chopped onions and tomatoes with a dash of lime with pepper, salt and finely chopped green chillies. Guacamole can be eaten with crackers, nachos or spread on a piece of toast and it is the perfect brunch option.

Hummus is healthy, lip smacking and can be made with so many different ingredients. There are so many options for ingredients you can use to spice up your basic hummus. You can try and make Muhammara Hummus, Avocado Hummus, Beet Hummus with endless options for toppings with chilli oil, toasted sesame, roasted chickpeas, paprika and you can relish it with pita bread, crackers, lavash, tabbouleh, tzatziki and baba ganaoush.

Salsa takes time to make but it is a lip-smacking dip. It is spicy, tangy and can satisfy your tastebuds like none other. It is usually made with perfect ripened tomatoes and hot red chillies—with a dash of fresh mint leaves and basil. Salsa will never disappoint you, especially when paired with nachos, rolls, chips and crackers.

4) Sour Cream

Sour cream is something you cannot go wrong with! If you truly want to relish your sour cream, try and make it at home rather than using a store bought one. It is savoured fresh, light with the peculiar lemony-tang that sets it apart and makes it the perfect complement for chips, nachos, spicy rice and the list goes on.

5) Chives and Garlic

Any garlic dip is the perfect supplement to begin with. You can add chives and garlic to a rich and creamy bechamel sauce, and use it with sour cream—topping it with a dash of salt and pepper.
