The repertoire of work that Chitrangda Singh has behind her is something that I have always loved and admired. Be it starting with a niche film like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi or doing a commercial film like Desi Boyz, the actress has done it all and shone in every one of them. Recently, she mesmerised me with her performance in Bob Biswas and now the actress is all set to get back to work as she shared an update on her project with Sara Ali Khan and Vikrant Massey.
In a conversation with Mid-Day, Chitrangda opened up about her upcoming project with Vikrant and Sara that is titled Gaslight and is helmed by Bhoot Police director Pawan Kripalani. She shared that she is about to start work on it soon.
She said:
“We will start readings and workshops soon, as the project is set to roll in February.”
Gaslight is a suspense drama revolving around it’s three characters but not much details are out about the project yet. Chitrangda continues with that saying that speaking anything about the project would be an injustice to it but she will sport a never-seen-before look for the film.
Chitrangda added:
“This is a completely different look. I won’t be able to reveal much as it’s a suspense drama. (As a filmmaker), Pawan Kripalani is so unpredictable. That makes him interesting because you don’t know what he will come up with next. All I can say is that you wouldn’t imagine me doing such a film.”
The fresh pairing of Sara and Vikrant is something that I am really looking forward to in Gaslight, and the addition of Chitrangda has just made it all the more intriguing. It’s nice to see Bollywood experimenting with new stories and pairings, and as a viewer, I am all for it. This one is going to be something to watch out for.
