Aparshakti Khurana & Ishwak Singh Team Up For A Spy Thriller Titled ‘Berlin’

Akash Bhatnagar

The platform of OTT has given name and fame to so many faces that might not have had the exposure they have now, by just being on the big screen. I have found so many of my favourite artists on the medium and one of them is Ishwak Singh from Pataal Lok. While the world got to know about him through the much appreciated series, I was in awe of him ever since I saw him in Tamasha and Veere Di Wedding. But due to the success of Paatal Lok, the actor has gotten many esteemed projects, including Rocket Boys, and now there is one more addition to the list.

Ishwak will be starring alongside Aparshakti Khurana in a spy thriller mystery titled Berlin, produced by Zee Studios, Atul Sabharwal and Manav Shrivastav. The film is set in Delhi of the ’90s and is written and directed by Atul. Berlin will go on floors early this year and will narrate the story of a sign-language expert, who gets into the dark vortex of rivalry between intelligence agencies, deceit and corruption, “where the horizon lines between innocence and guilt with mirages”.

Check out the announcement here:

Talking about the project, Atul said in a statement:

“We have a great history of spy thriller films, this thriller drama is based on a mute and deaf spy. Also, seeing the Delhi city of the ’90s will be first of its kind visual interpretation, while covering an exciting time in the history of the country. The team can’t wait to bring the magic on screen.”

Shariq Patel, CBO, Zee Studios insists that Berlin is a true-blue Indian spy thriller layered with “intelligence, patriotic and political aspects”.

He adds:

“The script has great potential, and I am sure Atul will do full justice to it.”

Aparshakti has made a name for himself in the comedy genre and it will be exciting to see the actor get into this new space. Both these actors are amazing talents and I am sure that their collaboration will only create magic on screen, that I am really intrigued to witness.
