From her debut, Dum Laga Ke Haisha to Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan – I’ve been totally stunned at Bhumi Pednekar’s gutsy film choices. As a result of which, there’s always a curiosity surrounding a project that she’s a part of.

A recent report had suggested that filmmaker Ketan Mehta was considering to rope in Bhumi for playing his aunt Usha Mehta in her biopic. Now, in the middle of these rumours, the actress has expressed that she would love to play a freedom fighter someday. That’s one of the things on her bucket list, apart from many other genres and subjects.

Bhumi said:

“I’m fascinated by such remarkable personalities and it would be an honour for me to play someone like that on screen. I actually want to do that and I hope that the universe is listening to this.”

The actress who has always done unique stories in the past would love to continue to make such choices.

She adds further,

“I would also like to be a part of a fantasy project. There are so many different types of projects that I would love to explore and experience as an actor”

I hope Bhumi’s dream does come true because she would totally be amazing and believable as a freedom fighter. Meanwhile, the actress will next be seen in Badhaai Do alongside Rajkummar Rao and in Govinda Naam Mera where she is paired up with Vicky Kaushal. She also has Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed in the pipeline. That looks like a really interesting line-up and I can’t wait for all these films!
