Rajkummar Rao never fails to surpass expectations with his film choices and by living up to those choices. Over the last few years, he’s been one of the actors whose work I totally look forward to. It’s also amazing how his off-screen persona is such a contrast to most of his characters.
The actor now will be seen next in tentatively titled Srikanth Bolla – which is a biopic of industrialist Srikanth Bolla who didn’t let his visual impairment come in the way of his longer vision. Srikanth hails from a small, nondescript village in Andhra Pradesh and he went on to become the founder of Bollant Industries. He has faced many adversities in this process which he overcame beautifully.
Talking about Playing Srikanth Bolla, Rajkummar says:
“Srikanth Bolla is an inspiration! It’s indeed a privilege to play such an inspiring persona who has been through a lot of hardships and despite that has risen like a phoenix! I am really looking forward to playing Srikanth. I’m happy to collaborate with Bhushan sir yet again on this compelling project.”
Bhushan Kumar is equally excited for this one, as he expresses:

The personality of this character is such that only an actor of a caliber like Rajkummar Rao can justify it and we are happy to have such a fine actor on board. Tushar Hiranandani’s vision to showcase this captivating story is very peculiar. We are thrilled to make this film!”
Srikanth Bolla which is the film’s tentative title, is penned by Sumit Purohit and Jagdeep Sindhu. Tushar Hiranandani, who last directed Saand Ki Aankh, will helm this project. Well, this looks like such a dream team together and I can’t wait for it to take form on celluloid. The shoot is set to begin in July 2022. It’s produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani.
