There had been speculations around the separation of actor-couple Sanjeeda Shaikh and Aamir Ali for a while now, and a recent report suggested that the duo has officially gotten divorced. According to a report in Hindustan Times, the couple had never acknowledged their separation publicly and they don’t intend to speak about their divorce as well.
Sanjeeda and Aamir tied the knot in March 2012 and in August 2020, the couple had a daughter, Ayra Ali. It was in 2020 when reports about their separation started doing the rounds.
Regarding the judicial separation, the source added,
It has been around nine months since the divorce papers came through. They have moved on in their respective lives. Both of them are extremely private and thus didn’t wish to give out any official statement about the divorce.
The report further added that the custody of Ayra lies with Sanjeeda now, who is living in her paternal house since the divorce. Both Sanjeeda nor Ali haven’t confirmed or denied the news. While refusing to comment on the same, Sanjeeda added, “I just want to make my child proud.” Aamir on the other hand said, “I wish Sanjeeda all the happiness.”
