With COVID hitting home again, government bodies are again advising people to stay at home during these unprecedented times. A lot of us have to adapt to new habits and discipline our bodies during this time. This is also a time when we can reset, refocus, and reprioritise our personal and professional goals.

A new year is a good time to set goals for yourself and try to stick to them the whole year. You can even have an accountability partner and revisit your goals timely to keep a check on the progress. It will make your days productive.

Our day-to-day habits are the ones that need the most attention. Every day at night, try to reflect on your daily activities and make a list of productive things you did that day to change your lifestyle.

  1. Set Goals: setting goals is the most important part of taking a step ahead. When you set goals, try to set goals that are actionable. After setting goals, make an action plan and finally start moving towards your dreams.
  2. Find Your Purpose: Every human on this planet has a purpose, try to find yours. They are usually the things that are most important to you and give you abundant joy. These are the things that find a greater sense of meaning in your life.
  3. Have Healthier Relationships: Find out people who matter to you and the ones who are just sucking away your energy. Find out the reason why some relationships blossom and some fizz out after some time. Get to the depth of it and make the required changes.
  4. Build Resilience: everyone has their set of struggles. Start facing yours with more ferocity, more result-oriented, and more passion. Stop victimising yourself and start taking control of your life.
  5. Understand Your Emotions: Some people feel everything deeply. Use your emotions as a channel to expend your energy. Get your emotions under control and learn how to use them productively.
  6. Challenge Your Beliefs: More often than not, our beliefs are things that have been drilled into our brains since childhood. Try to dig deep and understand if they’re helping your move forward or holding you back in your life.
