Actress Kirti Kulhari has delivered some impactful performances in the last few years. And it is not just her films like Pink or Mission Mangal, but also her web shows Four More Shots Please! and Criminal Justice that left me impressed. Now with some amazing projects to her credit, the actress has chosen to venture into film production. Kirti’s production house is called Kintsukuroi Films and the first project under it will be a dark comedy thriller called Nayeka. Amazing, right? Well, let me tell you, Kirti will also star in this film. But, right now, what I am most excited about is her upcoming web series Human.
The trailer of the Disney Pus Hotstar show left me amazed and I am really curious to see this gripping tale unfold. Having said that, I am glad to see Kirti venture into new territories. Through the films she produces, Kirti wishes and aspires to tell stories that mend broken hearts and fill the emptiness existing in people’s lives.
Talking about this new venture, Kirti says,
Starting a production house has been an organic thought that has stayed with me strongly for a couple of years. As an actor, the last three years have been very fruitful for me and have gotten me interested to widen my horizon and delving into other aspects of filmmaking. I now want to take a step further as I feel the urge to back great content and tell the world stories that are unique, rare, and heartfelt. The intention is also to create a more equal and collaborative atmosphere in the process of making a film. Unfortunately, a hierarchy does exist in the way things work and I would aim to bridge that gap, embrace and respect the talent brought to the table in all equality. The idea is also to create opportunities for the young talent, be it writers, directors, actors, or technicians.

Revealing that her first production Nayeka has gone on floors from 2nd January, Kirti added that the film’s story is of a struggling actress who gets caught in a crime by mistake, that is followed by a cat and mouse chase and a series of crazy events.
Talking about Nayeka, Kirti said,
Nayeka is a fun space for me to explore something I’ve never done before. It’s a fast-paced dark comedy thriller and comprises very young, dynamic, and talented people coming together. Director & writer Ajaykiran Nair has done a wonderful job. A unique script such as this makes for a perfect beginning to my journey as a producer.
Well, I am sure like her projects as an actor, Kirti will only choose the best ones as a producer too. I am looking forward to seeing some amazing work coming from her banner in the future. On that note, I wish the actress and now producer, many congratulations on this new venture.
