In the last few years in Bollywood, if there is an actor who has been the busiest of them all, it has to be Pankaj Tripathi, and I must admit, it has been deservedly so. He has been a part of many films in this time and his histrionics have elevated the level of each of those projects. As a viewer, I always wait for his arrival on screen as he brings a refreshing energy with him and the actor also never shies away from experimenting with his roles. And now, he seems to be all set to reprise his role of lawyer Madhav Mishra for Criminal Justice 3.
The first two seasons of the show were received well by the audience and the third installment of the Applause Entertainment‘s popular courtroom drama, will see the makers take things up a notch. According to reports, it is going to be shot on a much bigger scale with a mix of new as well as old characters from the franchise coming together in a new story line.
Pankaj is currently spending time with his family in his hometown, Belsand located in Gopalganj, Patna, Bihar, where he also brought in the New Year with them. But he would be commencing the shoot for Criminal Justice 3 from the first week of January in Mumbai, and the show is expected to start streaming towards the end of 2022.
A source close to the development says:
“Criminal Justice has always been a franchise very close to Pankaj. The journey which started off from the first season in 2019, got such an overwhelming response that we’re already starting to shoot the third season in the start of 2022. Madhav Mishra’s character is somewhat like Pankaj – he stands for what is right, no matter what; he believes in uplifting and supporting the weaker sections of our society; and he relies on just two traits – honesty and pure talent.”
For me, just the mere presence of Pankaj makes any project worthwhile and more interesting. So, seeing the actor take forward the legacy of a project that he has nurtured for two seasons already, will surely be an interesting feat to witness. The actor already has some interesting projects like OMG 2, Bachchan Pandey and Sherdil in his line up and now, Criminal Justice 3 just makes it all the more intriguing.
