Needless to mention that apart from Alia Bhatt‘s mad acting chops she’s also quite the star fashionista amongst the youth. Her bubbly energy and radiant smile along with her always put together and effortless style really makes her one to keep an eye out for. 2021 was interestingly a low-key year for Alia in terms of appearances but what we did see her do a lot was show up for her friends and at their fabulous weddings. Obviously Alia did nothing to outshine the bride but she left us with a ton of ideas and inspo on how we should look at our BFF’s weddings. Scroll on to see some of our fav looks.

Here are 6 OOTD’s from Alia Bhatt that prove she’s the most chill and best dressed wedding guest:

1) The Colourful Lehenga

This matching blue bandhani lehenga by Sabyasachi is an absolute hit, thanks to the bright shade and the unique design of her blouse. The gold borders also add to the charm of the overall look and feel that makes it wedding guest appropriate.

2) The Traditional Saree

If I were a pro saree draper I’d wear sarees to every occasion. What I love about this particular saree is that firstly it’s a unique aqua colour which you don’t often see in handwoven sarees. And secondly it’s the most loved Kanchivaram saree. Just look at the gold detailing all across the saree.

3) The Understated Anarkali

If you opt for anything nude with simplistic detail it is so obviously understated in nature. But this particular outfit by Manish Malhotra comes with a plunging, princess neckline, A-line silhouette and a sheer dupatta that all scream mysterious. I love how well this colour works against Alia’s skin tone as well and would work wonders on brown skin too.

4) The Co-Ord Set

Another nude outfit with a more Indo-western touch to it. A nude bustier with wide-leg trousers and bejewelled cape form the basis of this outstanding outfit by Faraz Manan. This outfit is sure to grab a few eye balls and is definitely not for the faint-hearted but it sure looks like it would be the most comfortable outfit to let your hair down with.

5) The Cocktail Dress

I don’t remember a time I’ve looked at sequins and not been enamoured by it. Mostly we opt for the usual’s: black, gold or silver rarely do we find ourselves choosing brightly coloured sequins and Alia Bhatt proves that you need not be afraid of colour for you can look elegant and sexy in it as well. Her bright lemon yellow, one-shoulder dress is certainly captivating and would work wonders at a friends cocktail or bachelorette party.

6) The Modern Salwar

Normally you see people pair their kurta‘s with cigarette pants but I love a good kurta lehenga combo. It’s the perfect balance between formal and out-there. And this black brocade set from Payal Khandwala is definitely a subtle but eye-catching piece.
