The rise in Omicron cases have lead to several big films being postponed and it’s best then to stay at home and source entertainment from OTT.  I also feel that the way these shows have pushed the envelope, they definitely become a must-watch.

Quickly, here I list out to you 5 must-watch shows on the web, so if you’ve not yet seen them, this might just inspire you to! Perhaps, I believe, once you start watching these, you might just want to binge-watch all the episodes. Take a look.

1. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein

Firstly, I love the title and more so after watching the show. It’s a classic example of transferred epithet since it’s about female fatale and this has 8 episodes.  It’s directed by Sidharth Sengupta and stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saurabh Shukla, Anchal Singh and Shweta Tripathi. From the dark humour, its engaging content and the performance of every actor – all of it is so impressive. Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein is streaming on Netflix.

2. Aarya 2

Ram Madhvani’s Aarya on Hotstar was so good that people couldn’t just wait for its season 2 and I’m so glad it lives up to the first part. Again, the tigress Aarya has to spread her claws to protect her family, but this time she is more fierce. The climax is the show stealer along with Sushmita Sen’s performance and overall appeal – so much so, that by the end of season 2, you are already wanting a season 3!

3. Aranyak

Roy Kapur Films and Ramesh Sippy Entertainment’s Aranyak directed by Vinay Waikul is so engaging that you have to watch it to believe it. Raveena Tandon headlining the cast with the character of a police officer which is so well-written and a treat to watch. You’d literally be hooked to see the mystery and the deep layers unfold. You can watch Aranyak on Netflix.

4. Decoupled

Decoupled on Netflix starring R. Madhavan & Surveen Chawla is an absolute delight with its concept, narrative and wittiness, all in its place. It’s a nice take on modern relationships, and a light, fun watch but mainly, watch this for R. Madhavan!

5. Human

Human is a take on the this whole gamut of pharmaceutical companies, big hospitals and Government officials and how they exploit the poor during human trials of vaccines. Basically, it comes at a time where we’ve been stuck with a pandemic since three years and that somewhere brings in relatability. But it’s Shefali Shah who shines the most and is a major USP to watch this Vipul Shah series.

I hope you guys enjoy these shows and end up binge watching them, just like me!
