With the South film industry being so huge, the content it produces has no match. In fact, in the past, the industry has given us some amazing films to watch, however, off-late the scale of production has grown to a great extent. And while this canvas only gets bigger, we have seen some magnum opuses like Baahubali, Pushpa: The Rise, etc coming from Down South that left the world jaw dropped. And now, there are some other films that are being equally made on a bigger scale to which I am totally looking forward to.

Here are 5 such films that have been larger than life:

Baahubali

As we all know, the Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer Baahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli has gone down in history for its larger-than-life experience with some stellar VFX. Not just the story was interesting, but even the way the film has been made, has been quite appealing. In fact, I cannot even count how many times have I watched both the parts – Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion.

Saaho

Another film of Prabhas along with Shraddha Kapoor was Saaho was made on a huge scale. In fact, the VFX in this one too was brilliant, but what made Saaho grand was that it is one of the most expensive Indian films ever produced. The Sujeeth directorial has been shot in UAE, Austria, and Romania, other than India.

Pushpa: The Rise

Allu Arjun‘s latest Pushpa: The Rise is what Baahubali was in 2017. The film has impressed many people including me and while the film’s music had my heart, I just couldn’t stop admiring Allu’s performance in this one. The Sukumar directed film has emerged to be the highest-grossing film of 2021 and now many of us are waiting for Pushpa 2: The Rule, to release soon.

RRR (Rise Roar Revolt)

Another period drama from SS Rajamouli is RRR which has been the most anticipated film from 2020. Right from its making, this film has been in the news and while it has superstars like Jr NTR and Ram Charan clashing, it also stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. The film was supposed to release earlier in January, however, due to the increasing number of Covid cases, its release had to be pushed once again. But honestly, I am eagerly waiting to witness this one on the big screen.

Radhe Shyam

While the Prabhas’s performance in this romantic period drama left everyone singing praises. What many people also have loved is how visually spectacular the film’s trailer looks. In fact, with the visuals, I can say that the film has been made on a big scale. In case you don’t know the film is set in 1970s Europe. Also starring Pooja Hegde, Radhe Shyam was to release in January but has been pushed due to the pandemic.

Haven’t these films just been marvelous to watch?  Well, honestly I am waiting for a visual spectacle from the South industry, all I hope is that theaters start soon.
