Pragya Jaiswal has done about 10 movies from the south, but it’s the latest single Main Chala with Salman Khan that’s bringing her immense love and appreciation at the moment. She’s absolutely thrilled about it. In a recent chat with me, the lady reacted on the appreciation she’s getting for the single.

Pragya said,

“It’s such a nice, soothing, romantic song and people are really liking the chemistry between Salman and me. A lot of them are saying that we look good together and it doesn’t seem like we’re working together for the first time so I think that’s a great compliment.”

She also expressed that the song was shot when Khan was shooting for Antim, and the emotions of the song just came in very easily during the shoot. She’s on cloud 9 with the love coming her way, not just for Main Chala but, her last Telegu film Akhanda with Nandmuri Balakrishna, which released in December 2021 crossed Rs.100 worldwide in 11 days. When asked her about the acceptance which south films are now getting worldwide with actors getting popularity on the PAN-India basis,

Pragya opined

“We’ve been watching south films for the longest time; the south dubbed movies in Hindi on Sony and Set Max for years. It’s not like we were not aware of them. For example, we always knew who Allu Arjun is and we know about the massive love for cinema in the southern part of the country and how larger-than-life it is. But it only took like a Baahubali or a Pushpa for people to officially recognise it or accept it. I’m grateful that finally the lines between the south and Bollywood are blurring. It’s one big Indian Film Industry today which I think is absolutely amazing. I’m just grateful that we’re living in these times where, if you’re talented and if you’re doing good work, it’s recognised. You can just cross over knowing that the world will see your work. Everyone who is talented is getting their due. The south actors are doing shows and movies in Bollywood; like Samantha Ruth Prabhu did The Family Man 2. So, I think it’s just a great time for us as actors.”

The actress added that she would love to work in both the industries and I also would love to see more of her because she truly deserves all of it!
