From Inside Edge to Gully Boy and now Gehraiyaan which released today, Siddhant Chaturvedi has come a long way indeed. I truly can see his growth and he is getting a lot of appreciation for this Shakun Batra film opposite Deepika Padukone.

Ask the actor about his growing stardom and Siddhant says,

I would want to be called a visionary, not an actor or star. It would be an achievement to be called a visionary who defined the era perhaps. Every person has a limitation and I want to go beyond my limitation. From where I come, even dreaming of becoming an actor is a big deal! So, I want to motivate so many youngsters like me who are so talented and dream of being here. I want to tell people that you can achieve everything that you want. The world has now become small because of the OTT because of its reach. You can reach the global audience with your work and that’s my vision.

His journey would definitely be motivating for many people who aspire to become actors; considering the fact that he comes in with no film background and now has worked with big banners like Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions.

Talking about his journey, he adds,

“I would give complete credit to my parents for this. I come from a small town and have even struggled to pay rent. My parents told me that you can do what you want but at least secure your future because nobody is going come looking for you and launch you. So I started doing CA. I was also doing theatre along with CA. I had enrolled for my finals but wasn’t able to do it because then I started giving auditions. I used to get rejected because they would feel this boy has curly hair, he looks weird and has weird eyes. So, from then to now, I have come a long way.”

This boy has made it so far with his talent and charm and I’m sure he still has a long way to go! Looking forward to seeing more of him. Post Gehraiyaan, Siddhant has Phone Bhoot with Katrina Kaif and Ishan Khatter, Excel Entertainment’s Yudhra and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav of White Tiger fame lined up.
