Actress Urvashi Dholakia has been a renowned name in the television industry. In fact, her name has often been associated to the iconic character of Komolika who was vamp on Ekta Kapoor‘s Kasautii Zindagi Kay. But do you know? There is much more to Urvashi than just being Komolika, and what I admire the most about this actress is her strong personality. Now, as Urvashi gears back to be star on Naagin 6, I caught up with her for a quick tete-a-tete.

Here are the excerpts from our conversation:

On working with Balaji Productions…

Balaji is like home for me. Also speaking about work, it looks all glamourous, but to ensure those 30 minutes of entertainment on screen, the hard work that goes into creating that content is impeccable.

On the concept of Naagin 6…

I feel that every man, woman, child on this entire planet has gone through the same situation for the last 2 years. Nothing has been different, and because there is no differentiation this could be a very relatable concept.  Though it eventually depends on each person’s thought process on how they connect with the show.

On her character in the supernatural drama…

My character happens to be the minister’s wife who has class, money, taste and she is a doting mother to her daughters. This is all I can say as you would have to watch the show to know more about my role. Our shoots have just about begun so we are all still getting to know each other on set, so it’s too early to comment on friendships.

On if there is pressure of being a part of such a big franchise…

Naagin is definitely one of the biggest supernatural franchise on Indian television. So there is this thrill to work on a new show, on a new concept and with new people. Speaking about added pressure, no there isn’t any pressure but there is this slight initial nervousness as it is a new atmosphere to be in, but no pressure!

On the best thing about being on set…

The best part about being on set is performing, getting into my character and doing what I love the most, acting!

Naagin 6 went on air this weekend, this time the show is dealing with concept of Naagins fighting the pandemic. And I am looking forward to see Urvashi’s stellar performance on the show.
