What has always amazed me about television is the variety of content it offers to us as an audience. And while it also deals with many subjects which probably are the need of the hour, the latest one that has all my attention is the Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta produced show Swaran Ghar. Starring Ronit Bose Roy, Sangita Ghosh, and Ajay Singh Chaudhary in leading roles, the show revolves around some harsh realities of the parent-child relationships. What I love about the show’s concept the most is how it is bringing a real situation of many households in the form of a family drama that will not just resonate with many but might also end up being a major eye-opener.

The show is being shot in Chandigarh and revolves around the life of a middle-aged woman Swaran and her husband Kanwaljeet whose lives and hearts get shattered after they are unceremoniously abandoned by their children. It is an emotional tale of how the couple starts life afresh after fulfilling all parent duties and how Swaran alone gathers the strength to lead a fulfilling life.

Sharing his thoughts on Swaran Ghar, Ronit Bose Roy says,

As an actor, I always strive to create a strong impact with every character that I play but the connection that I have with Kanwaljeet is really special. He is a caring husband who has a very practical outlook on life. He feels indebted to his wife for always taking care of him, and at the same time, he is aware of the true nature of their children. I am confident that ‘Swaran Ghar’ will create a mark and win the hearts of the viewers.

Adding to this Sangita Ghosh says,

Swaran’s character is very close to my heart as after a long time I am essaying such a diverse and powerful role on television. My character has various shades to it- she is a devoted mother, wife, and moreover a strong individual. Even after her kids leave her side, she is determined to support her husband and lead a life on her own that will serve as an inspiration for many women. I am thoroughly enjoying shooting for the show in Chandigarh.

Talking about the show, Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta said…

Swaran Ghar stems from the various real-life stories and experiences we see around us.  We are delighted to present a show that will give a new perspective on parenthood and shed light on the innumerable struggles they go through. We began our partnership with COLORS with Udaariyaan and aim to continue this successful stint with Swaran Ghar.

Swaran Ghar goes on air from this Monday, 28th February at 8:30 pm on Colors and its concept has definitely left me quite intrigued to watch. So I am totally looking forward to this one.
