On the morning of Mahashivratri, the makers of the big budget Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan have announced the film’s release date. Directed by Om Raut, it’s set to release on January 12, 2023 and I’m super excited. The film is set to release in 3D.

It’s such an excited news because ever since Baahubali released, Prabhas has this huge PAN India fan following. Moreover, Adipurush is also huge in terms of its scale and treatment. This magnum opus is an adaptation of Ramayana where Prabhas and Kriti play Ram-Sita and Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Raavan. Actor Sunny Singh of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety fame will be seen playing Lakshman. Interestingly, Raut completed the shoot of such a mega film just in 103 days. When the shoot was wrapped up, the director shared a picture with the whole cast on Instagram and everyone including Kriti and Sunny appreciated the director.
Adipurush was earlier set to release on August 11, but the makers decided to push the release date so that Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha could have a solo release. This has been such a great decision because both of these are big films and they shouldn’t have eaten up each other’s business.
I can’t wait to watch Adipurush, for its scale and such an ensemble. The film produced by T-series is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, Telegu and Malayalam.
