Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a boss lady who aces everything she does. Be it her acting career in Hindi movies, singing or making India proud by doing so well globally. The actress surely knows to win hearts. But while most people adapt to the western culture when living there, what’s amazing about PC is how she displays her Indianness in full swing wherever she goes.

Peecee is a true blue desi girl and here are 5 times when she proved it.

Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas at their home in LA

The actress shared this picture on the occasion of MahaShivratri recently and it is so heartwarming to see indulge into these rituals with husband Nick Jonas in tow.

A while ago, Priyanka posted this picture and spoke about her memories of winning a Padma Shri award while explaining it was the 4th highest civilian award in India. She shared this meant the world to her coming from a military background. Not to mention, she looks beautiful in this saree.

PC and husband Nick belong to such different cultures and countries yet she chose to get married in India at Umaid Bhavan donning the quintessential red Sabyasachi lehenga with the bindi, choodas, and traditional jewellery. She made such a beautiful bride didn’t she?

The red saree, vermilion and celebrating karva chauth – now that’s as desi as desi gets.

She celebrated her first diwali at her new home with Nick and it filled with orange marigolds, rangoli, diyas and the couple dressed in traditional attires. She literally created the Diwali vibes of India in LA! I’m sure she would be missing home! In the above post, PC also thanked her guests for honouring her Indian culture, dressing the part and making her feel like home! Adorable, isn’t it? Not just Diwali, but the actress celebrates every Indian festival with immense cheer. She had also posted pictures of her Holi celebrations, take a look below.

Apart from these instances, one keep seeing Priyanka talking about her love for Biryani and feeling nostalgic and remembering Mumbai while starting her day with poha for breakfast!

This girl has my respect for the talented, woman of substance that she is, but isn’t it absolutely heartwarming to see PC sticking to her roots with pride while flying high? Way to go girl!
