Yami Gautam is garnering several accolades for A Thursday and now she’ll be seen in an all new avatar in Dasvi as a cop. It’s been a challenge for Yami because she had to make an equal impact in front of Abhishek Bachchan’s character. But she looks so convincing in the trailer itself. Recently Yami got into a conversation with Shravan Shah, Entertainment Head, MissMalini and spoke at length about Dasvi and lots more.
Talking about the challenge, Yami said,
“I know I am petite and short but to stand in front of AB as an IPS officer and jailor is tough. You really need to be convincing and portray that you don’t need that kind of a body. But, it’s more about the body language than the physical appearance. When I realised that, I was like, yes, then I can do it.”
It’s amazing how Yami is seen in such varied roles and how she plays it subtle even in films with a strong message. The actor will next be seen in OMG : Oh My God 2.
Talking about it, Yami added,
“OMG 2 is a legit sequel to OMG but a totally different topic, message but the structure is the same. I play a lawyer, and it’s a court room drama. So, it will be verbose. You have to be loud. But the challenge in that is how to not make it verbose or boring or make people feel like a long speech is coming. The audience shouldn’t know it’s a speech of 5 pages. In Thursday, my last scene was of 9 pages, but I did it in one flow and take, but you shouldn’t feel that. The idea is to not make it look like you are being preachy or giving a long message.”
While this effortless, eternal beauty wins our hearts always, she keeps getting more impressive with every new work, which is so amazing.
