Om Raut‘s upcoming film Adipurush has been one of the biggest and most awaited projects of Indian cinema ever since its announcement. A re-telling of the epic Ramayana with a cast that boasts names like Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh, the film has been setting up high bars of expectations for move buffs like me in every department. And now there is a new and exciting addition to the team of this magnum opus!
Recently, actress Sonal Chauhan confirmed that she has come on board this mythological film and will be playing a key character in it. The announcement has surely got me excited.
She shared,
“Yes, I’m a part of Adipurush and I’m excited about it. It’s a very different world from the kind of work I’ve done so far. I am sure the audience will enjoy the magnum opus that is Adipurush.”
This is Sonal’s first mythological project and it will be very exciting to see her take on a role set in that period, as I feel, her beauty will shine much brighter in that setting. Adipurush is helmed by Raut, who made his directorial debut in Bollywood with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, and will be released in Hindi and Telugu. It will see Prabhas take on the role of Lord Ram, Kriti as Goddess Sita and Saif in the role of Raavan.
As for Sonal, the actress has a magical presence on screen and she has proved it with every project of hers. Apart from Adipurush, she will also be seen in the film The Ghost that marks Sonal and Nagarjuna‘s first collaboration. The high-octane action entertainer is directed by Praveen Sattaru.
I can already imagine how beautiful Sonal will look in the film and I had been waiting for a while to see her in something amazing like this. I am sure that she will make the role her own and will shine through and through. Adipurush is just becoming more exciting by the day and it will surely be a masterpiece, I am certain of that. Can’t wait for it to hit the big screen.
