Right now, I am literally on an overdose of excitement for the wedding I have been waiting for, is finally happening! Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been together for a while now, and all this while they have been doling out couple goals. In fact, all this time, these two totally made our heartbeats skip, when Ranbir closely held Alia’s hand as they walked out of the airport while returning from their vacation in South Africa. Another time I remember, this couple leaving me smiling from ear to ear was when Alia said at an event that ‘R’ is a lucky alphabet for her. And now as we all witness the frenzy around the wedding, a part of me is jumping with joy, while the other half is trying to read up all the information it can, for the #RanAlia Wedding.
Well, according to what Rahul Bhatt (Alia’s brother) has told the media, the wedding is surely happening. The beautifully decorated RK Studios and Krishna Raj are also standing proof of the celebration coming our way. The Date
The biggest question of the hour is ‘Shaadi Kab Hai?’ While Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor is being quizzed about this at every possible spotting, what we know is that the celebrations are happening somewhere between the 13th and 17th of April. Earlier, Alia’s uncle Robin Bhatt had told a news channel that the Mehendi ceremony will commence tomorrow and on 14th is when the nuptials will take place. While Neetuji has been maintaining an interesting stance by saying ‘main kyun batau?’, Mahesh Bhatt also told a news channel that Neetuji has requested him to not speak anything about the wedding. And the latest update that came from Rahul Bhatt is that the couple has decided to push the wedding by a few days since the information was leaked in the media and also due to security reasons. With so much pressure around the wedding, he also said that everything has been changed and a new date will be declared as an official announcement soon. The new date update is that the wedding will happen by April 20.
The Venue
There is also a lot of speculation about the venue where Ranbir-Alia’s wedding will take place. Earlier, Robin Bhatt had told a news channel that the wedding will happen at Ranbir’s home in Bandra, Vastu. However, sharing details about security measures at RK studios, Rahul hinted that it is just one of the venues for the celebrations.
The Security
Rahul Bhatt revealed to a news channel that he is personally looking into the security of the wedding. The contract has been given to Mumbai’s best security force, the 9/11 agency. And 200 bouncers have been called for the wedding. 10 boys from Rahul’s team will also be sent. Rahul also revealed that security will be deployed at Vastu and RK studios. While each guest will be accompanied by a Roving Patrol Officer, drones will also be kept as a countermeasure.
The Guest List
According to what Rahul Bhatt told a news portal, the intimate wedding will only have 28 guests, however, the reception will be a star-studded one. From Shah Rukh Khan to Deepika Padukone, and Karan Johar to Ayan Mukerji, lots of names have come up in the prospective guest list.
