Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding is the hottest thing happening in tinsel town. We couldn’t be more excited, especially with all the wedding preparations going on in full swing, the hush-hush discussions about the designer outfits and the ceremony on the big day have got us all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. But in foresight, we can’t stop thinking about Alia’s outfit for the big day. Will she go the classic route and pick red and white or will she make a case for her inner fashionista and don something experimental? Well, these are things we’ll find out only when the wedding pictures come out but until then, let’s do a round-up of some of our favorite desi outfits donned by Alia that would also make for stunning outfit options for her special day!
1) A Vision In White
It’s Alia’s big day and we know for a fact that this Bollywood beauty makes a fashion statement every chance she gets. Alia shone like the moon through out her Gangubai Kathiawadi promotions and one of my personal favourite looks from the archives has to be this simple white saree with soft gold accents. The flowers in her hair with the few strands framing her face and that envious glow really add to her look, no? She looks stunning as ever in the backless blouse with elegant jewellery. This makes for a perfect look for a pooja or a simple pre-wedding function.
2) Paint Me In Henna
The Mehendi function is the most relaxed one of all functions. It is all song and dance with a whole lot of yummy food and we would surely want to have a proper look at Ms. Bhatt’s mehendi to find out if she has RK or Ranbir’s lucky number 8 hidden anywhere in the designs. This one seems tough but one thing is for sure, the henna designs will be exquisite and Alia is literally going to look like the bride of the season. We think Alia could go for a quirky look with prints and cool colours, heavy embellishments to keep it relaxed yet stylish, and have a ball at this big fat Punjabi wedding.
3) Bright As Sunshine
Alia is known for her experimental style and cool quotient. She knows how to keep it effortless and simple yet look like the stylish doll that she is. She stands out in this bright yellow silk lehenga with a deep cut blouse and flared skirt. And for the wild Kapoor and Bhatt Haldi, this outfit would totally be on point. It’s comfy, chic, adds the millennial touch because of the trendy blouse design with an ethnic touch, embroidery and still stands out because of the pop colour.
4) Let Your Hair Down
Weddings call for a celebration. Before, you’re tied down with all the ceremonies and over the top dressing, you might as well keep it effortless and chic and party the night away. And Alia is the part girl we are looking out for. We’ve seen her set the temperatures soaring with her mini dresses, thigh-high slits, sequin bling and more but what her wedding has in store for us will come as a massive surprise and we can’t contain it anymore.
5) I Am Sexy And I Know It
Sexy cuts and bold colours sum up to be the quintessential Alia Bhatt style. She looks resplendent in this summery silhouette with heavy embroidery. This outfit brings all your summer wedding dreams to life. With soft-hued makeup, simple tones, and a glossy finish, this is would be my go-to pick for Alia on her sangeet. All things are sparkly, sexy, and just so Alia.
6) Let’s Hear It For The Couple
At this point, we can’t keep calm and we’re just waiting for the couple’s photos to surface. But until we get our hands on any of the real wedding day content, let’s keep ourselves happy with these adorable pictures of the couple. This look is a winner for the reception. Just look at them, I could stare at this picture and all my romantic dreams and expectations will come to life. Alia’s bright neon pick beautifully complement Ranbir’s soft and muted tones. They look like the fairytale couple that has just walked out of the many novels that I read through my teenage years and I am totally living for it.
