Ileana D’cruz has never failed to leave me impressed – be it her successful south films or performances here in movies like Barfi! and Main Tera Hero. Such a diverse career graph, I must say. The actress is always a delight to watch on-screen and that holds so true for her new single Oo Oo. Composed and sung by Qaran, Ileana looks breath-taking beautiful in the song.
I met Ileana and Qaran to speak about the song and the actress opened up on why she decided to be a part of it.
Ileana said,
“When I hear a song I instantly know if I like it or no and I really loved it. I even loved the story. I’m a sucker for romance so anything remotely connected to romance makes me go awww. So, this song gave me all the feels and hit the right vibe for me.”
When asked Ileana if she likes the whole song-and-dance vibe and glamming it up amidst a scenario where we’re seeing a lot of hard-hitting content being made, here’s what she said.
The actress confessed,
“Ironically, it’s not simple filming stuff like that. It’s difficult to make stuff like that because so much goes into it. It’s more complicated doing the glamourous part because there’s rehearsal, dancing, costumes and so much into it. I sometimes like the simplicity of playing a character which is just about the character. It’s not about how the character is looking. For me, that’s simplicity. It’s not about dressing a specific way or anything – you don’t have a crutch that you’re leaning on by dressing up a specific way. When it’s just a normal person and you got to play the character. It gives me joy to do stuff like that. I feel Barfi! was something of that sort for me. It was the most simple out of everyone else. I felt like the most bare as an actor in that film.”
Barfi! certainly is one of her best work and I could watch the film several times even now. For now, Ileana is getting a lot of love for/ and I can’t wait to see more of this talented actress on-screen.
