Akshay Kumar will now be a part of the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru which starred Suriya Sivakumar, Aparna Balamurali and Paresh Rawal. While Kumar will be reprising Suriya’s role, Radhika Madan is set to be seen opposite him. Akshay posted a video this morning and shared the news of starting this yet-untitled film.

The actor also asked for suggestions for a title with blessings of course. The film is produced by Suriya along with Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment.
The film is directed Sudha Kongara who directed the original as well. Soorarai Pottru was inspired partly from events from the life of GR Gopinath who was the founder of Air Deccan. These events were taken from his memoir Simply Fly : A Deccan Odyssey. The film received immense critical acclaim.
This is the first time Akshay will team up with Radhika Madan and this does look like an interesting pair. Radhika on the other hand is doing exceptionally well post Shiddat and has just wrapped up Sanaa where she plays a titular role. I’m looking forward to this one and I’m sure all the Akshay Kumar fans are!
