Actress Taapsee Pannu continues to dole out some major unique characters and films and now post projects like Rashmi Rocket and Looop Lapeta, the actress will be seen essaying the role of cricketer Mithali Dorai Raj in Shabaash Mithu. The teaser of the film was highly appreciated when it released a few days back and now the makers have announced its release date which is July 15.
Taapsee also shared the release date announcement on social media and said,
“There is nothing more powerful than a girl with a dream and a plan to realise it! This is a story of one such girl who chased her dream with a bat in this ‘Gentleman’s Game’ “
Mithali has been the skipper of the Indian Women’s cricket team and has a career spanning over 23 years. She has also been the captain of the team for India in 4 world cups and the film tracks her journey ever since she was an 8-year old girl.
Taapsee is clearly on a roll and her fans have been beaming with joy ever since the announcement of Dunki was made. She will be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in this Rajkummar Hirani film which is super-exciting news. Having said that, the actress has already proved her mettle and come a long way. Which totally makes me look forward to Shabaash Mithu. The film is directed by Srijit Mukherji, written by Priya Aven. I’m totally looking forward to its release on July 15.
