Farhan Akhtar Joins MCU, To Feature In Ms. Marvel

The whole world is currently under the spell of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and the celebration of Marvel Cinematic Universe is happening everywhere. Even I am super excited to watch the spectacle on the big screen but amongst all this excitement has come another big news and it has an Indian connect, thus making me jump in joy excitedly.

Farhan Akhtar took to his social media just a while ago to share a clip of an article from Deadline that says that he is entering the MCU with Ms Marvel, and ever since I read it I haven't been able to control my excitement. As an Indian, there is also a sense of pride I feel seeing Farhan be a part of one of the biggest franchise in world cinema. Last year, there had been rumours of the actor being a part of the show but at that time he hadn't confirmed or denied those reports. But today, he finally confirmed it and it is indeed a big news.

Check out his post here:

He wrote,

"Grateful that the universe gifts these opportunities to grow, learn and in this case have a ton of fun while doing it."

Ms Marvel is based on the Marvel Comics featuring the character Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel. The series is all set to stream on Disney + from June 8 and features Iman Vellani in the lead role alongside Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Laurel Marsden, Adaku Ononogbo, Laith Nakli, Travina Springer and Aramis Knight. The series also has a lot of Asian connect with Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Anjali Bhimani and Farhan being cast in undisclosed roles.

The Marvel universe is getting bigger with each project and just having wrapped up Moon Knight, I know that the MCU is currently in a very exciting place. Ms Marvel is just going to add to it and with Farhan in it, my excitement has just increased manifolds. June 8 can't come here soon enough!
