It’s that time of the year, where once again I am all geared up to deep dive into the lives of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. With a legacy of 11 successful seasons and a new one releasing on 12th May on Hayu, the series has become an eminent part of our lives. And the platform, Hayu has become the home of these housewives, where the franchise takes us into the world of luxury and more! The seasoned housewives Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke, and Crystal Kung Minkoff, are returning with their style, swagger, sass, and more!
Having built a relationship with us since 2010, Real Housewives now enters its 12th Season and having watched the first episode of the new season, I can tell you what you can expect this time. Emotions and drama are something the new season is high on, but lots of new twists and revelations are awaiting you in store…
The Struggles
This season the women will struggle on their various professional and personal fronts, be it Erika’s legal battles or Crystal’s eating disorder. While Erika’s divorce became the highlight last season, it was also Kathy Hilton‘s oops moments that invited a huge meme fest, and there is more drama in store that we will witness in Hilton’s life this season. This time around, the raw storylines topped with elevated drama will keep you hooked throughout.
The New Housewives and Friends
This time there are two new faces who will join the extravaganza. One of them is an extremely accomplished housewife, and the other friend comes with a baggage of deep Hollywood history. The new housewife is Diana Jenkins, while the friends joining in this season are Kathy Hilton (who is returning) and the newbie is Sheree Zampino. Apparently, this season’s cast is the largest in the history of the show with eight housewives and two friends.
Dorit Kemsley’s home invasion
Ever since season 12’s trailer dropped in, the biggest point spoken about has been Dorit Kemsley being robbed at gunpoint in her house for valuables worth more than 1 million dollars. The raw and emotional recounts of the incident from Dorit will have you reaching for tissues.
Lisa and Crystal’s personal struggles
Over the seasons we have seen how Lisa Rinna became a favorite of the fans quite quickly but looks like the new season won’t be a cakewalk for this darling housewife of Beverly Hills. In season 12, we will see her struggle to live without her mom as she goes through some emotional times. As for Crystal, her battle with the eating disorder will continue to haunt her.
Diana and Sheree will shake things up
Yes, from the trailer we have felt the tremors of the thunder these newbies bring to the table. Diana, who happens to be a Bosnian war refugee married into a banking fortune, will quickly gel up into the group, but not with all. She will have a drama unfold with a housewife that you will have to watch to know. Well, Diana might be the new villain, but Sheree too won’t be less. Will Smith‘s ex-wife will bring an interesting interaction to the show which I cannot wait to witness.
The fancy and fiery vacations
While the rich housewives will treat us to some fancy getaways to Aspen, Colorado, Punta Mita, and Mexico, the lingering thoughts, feelings, and drama is also what they might unpack along with the luggage. The dynamics between the housewives will keep changing and that’s what I will love to witness.
Tears will flow as much as champagne does this season, Birkins and Cartiers will shine as bright as the season 12’s diamonds, but drama on an individual level is what will rule all.
