Amongst the stars from this generation, Alia Bhatt is my favourite, for, she has been delivering some stellar performances on the big screen. I was not only impressed but also mind-blown by her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Now, once again, Alia has left me charmed with her amazing portrayal in the teaser of Darlings. The dark comedy also starring Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah is so attention-grabbing that you will want to watch it more than once. In fact, what I love the most about it is the way Alia narrates the scorpion and frog’s story.

While the scorpion and frog analogy seems to be parallel to the storyline of Darlings, I am loving the daunting side Alia is projecting in this one. In fact, after the teaser, I am even more eager to see what the trailer of the film will have and to see the story unfold. Darlings releases exactly a month from today, on 5th August on Netflix. What is also amazing is that Alia is also a producer on this. Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, Darlings is produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma in association with Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions.
Lots of good things seem to be in store for Alia, with a kitty full of films, the actress is also soon going to be a mother. On the work front, Alia has Brahmastra with her husband Ranbir Kapoor which is releasing in September, then she also has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. There is also a Hollywood project called Heart Of Stone in the pipeline. I am totally rooting for the actress to treat us to some amazing work.
