What I am loving these days is to see that Bollywood is really digging deep into the thriller genre. And this is happening not only in the OTT space but even on the big screen. Especially, there have been some very amazing psychological thrillers that have been made recently, and the ones in the making, are no less. Yes, after I have seen the teaser for R Balki‘s film Chup: Revenge Of The Artist, I have only been amazed. In fact, what I am most impressed about is Dulquer Salmaan leaving such a strong impact in just a few seconds. Other than Dulquer, the film also stars, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sunny Deol, and Pooja Bhatt, I must say, this starcast is something and bringing them together under R Balki’s direction is just a visual treat coming our way.

Watch the teaser here:

Did you know? There is a reason why R Balki decided to release the film today, well is Guru Dutt‘s birthday and paying an ode to him. I am literally mind blown at Dulquer’s performance in the film.

Talking about the teaser R Balki said,

Guru Dutt’s Kaagaz Ke Phool is one of the many films that is seen as iconic today but was strongly criticized when it was released. Should we be more sensitive to an artist’s work or should the artists be less sensitive about what is being written about their work.

I have always loved the slice of life films that R Balki has given to us in the past, but this time he has chosen to make a debut in the thriller space with Chup. The film is directed by R Balki and produced by Gauri Shinde, Hope Filmmakers and Pen Studios. The original story is by R Balki, the screenplay and dialogues have been co-written by R Balki, critic-turned-writer Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani.

Honestly, after such a gripping teaser I am only waiting to know more about the characters, especially that of Pooja Bhatt as he glimpses have not been shown in the teaser. Stay tuned!
